Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 86
This is not a bad ’76 although nowhere near the pedigree of Lafite. Mahogany core with deep brick rim. The nose is actually better than I anticipated with some dusty black fruits, cedar a touch of game, but it certainly lacks vigour and cohesion. The palate is a little tawdry, slightly hollow with an cooked character that jars against some obvious green berries that found themselves fermenting. Linear towards the dry finish, moderate length. Not bad, but really only for those born in this year. Drink now. Tasted June 2007.
