Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 86
Deep garnet hue turning mahogany. A ripe nose: raspberry, cooked meat and leather. Quite intense though it tails off in the glass. The palate is better than expected. Medium-bodied, nice balance though lacking any Margaux typicity (this more like a Saint Julien.) Irony. Pretty yet simple. Clean finish though herbaceous. To my great surprise, the wine improved the following day, becoming more harmonious and cohesive. Perhaps decanting and letting this wine rest is advisable. Fine, but drink now. Tasted December 2004.

Bright red-ruby. Roasted aromas of red berries, spice cake and marzipan. Sweet on entry, then a bit featureless and flat in the middle palate. Ultimately rather simple, but not unpleasant.
