Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 97
Grenache-lovers need to latch onto bottles of the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Cornelia Constanza! This unctuous, hedonistic and full-bodied beauty is just overflowing with notions of ripe black currants, raspberries, licorice, roasted Provencal garrigue and hints of chocolate. Big, rich and decadent yet never over the top and always balanced and pure, it’s a tour de force in Grenache to enjoy over the coming 5-6 years, possibly longer.
Anticipated maturity: 2012-2023

(100% grenache) Deep ruby. Pungent aromas of raspberry liqueur, incense, smoky herbs and spicecake. Sappy and sweet, with borderline-jammy red fruit character and a seamless, pliant texture. This very alluring wine finishes with strong lift and sweet persistence.
