Good, full ruby-red. Raspberry, smoke and flowers on the nose; more obviously oaky today than some recent vintages at this stage. Bright and juicy on the palate, with solid underlying structure to the floral red berry, black plum and lead pencil flavors. Finishes clean and long, with smooth, creamy tannins. La Pointe is one of the most improved Pomerol estates in recent years and its wines offer plenty of charm and early drinking appeal.
