The NV (2012) Mareuil-su-Aÿ Sous Le Mont is fabulous. The decision to bump dosage up to 3.5 grams per liter works beautifully in giving the Mareuil a bit more mid-palate texture while also also eliminating the slightly vegetal quality that often marked previous editions. Bright and focused in the glass, with terrific energy and lovely Pinot resonance, the Mareuil possesses superb aromatic depth and plenty of character. This is the finest edition of the Mareuil yet. I loved it. Dosage is 3.5 grams per liter.
